Summer Camps:

Hand Building and Sculpting with Clay

Ages 5 and up
July 12 - 23, 2010
12:30p.m. - 2:00p.m.
$175 per student, all supplies included

Children will be encouraged to use their imagination while creating beautiful works of art with clay.   These creations will be dinnerware safe and or great accent sculptures for gardens and flower beds.



Discovering The Masters

Ages 8-12,
June 21- 25, 2010 3p.m.-5p.m.
July 26 - 30, 2010 3p.m. - 5p.m.
$100 per student, all supplies included

During each of these one-week camps, children will learn about famous painters of the past and create paintings based on their different styles, using acrylics on canvas board, or watercolor on paper.   Artists to be covered include Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, Kandinsky, Warhol and O’keefe.

Teen Painting Camp

Ages 13-18
Aug 2-6, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. 2010
$100 per student, all supplies included

Choosing from watercolor or acrylic paint, students will create an original painting suitable for framing. Students at all levels of experience are welcome. Instructor is a Registered Art Therapist who also teaches at VSA Arts, and Donna Lexa Community Art Centers.

Drawing

Ages 7 and up
June 14-18, 12:30-2:00
$90.00 all supplies included
This class is for the beginner, looking for a place to start and the continuing student looking to fine tune their skills
Each day the students will have1 hr of drawing exercises followed by 1/2 hour of working on a final project.  Each student will complete a colored pencil drawing,
ready to hang



Copper Camp

Ages 11-18
July 5-9
9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
$120 per student, all supplies included (students need to bring a pair of safety goggles)

This is an introduction to metals with an emphasis on copper.  Discover the history of copper use in Wisconsin.  Participants will manipulate copper sheet and wire in a variety of ways: sawing, hammering, stamping and etching.  Students will create an assortment of pieces to incorporate into jewelry, key chains or bookmarks.
